Lorene & Jeff

Lorene and Jeff were married on Saturday December 10 in a gorgeous winter wedding at the Old Timer's Cabin in Edmonton. Despite temperatures dipping to around -25 celsius for most of the day, the wedding party and guests were nothing but smiles and big laughs. I met Jeff and his groomsmen at the Marriott Courtyard Downtown Hotel while Lacey met with Lorene and her bridesmaids in south Edmonton. From there the couple met at Victoria Park on the outskirts of the Edmonton River Valley for a romantic first look and formal photos with their wedding party. After being in the freezing cold for a couple of hours it was time to warm up at the Canadian Brewhouse in downtown Edmonton. The staff at the Brewhouse were amazing in letting us capture Lorene and Jeff on their wedding day in the same establishment that they met all those years ago.

From there it was a quick detour to the Wayne Gretzky statue at Roger's Place before heading to the Old Timer's Cabin for the afternoon ceremony. Lorene and Jeff were married in front of family and friends while kept toasty by the stone fire place in the cabin. With beautiful Christmas decorations and elegant market lights illuminating the reception, it was a special evening that we were proud to be a part of.

Congratulations Lorene and Jeff!

Joe and Natasha Become Mr and Mrs

There was no better way than to spend September long weekend watching these two say their nuptials.  They had a full crowd and one beautiful ceremony at the historic Rosenheim church in Alberta.  (For anyone who has been to this historic landmark - you will know and appreciate how exquisite this church really is- not what you'd expect to find in the middle of the prairies.)  We had planned to go back to their scenic family farm for family and formal photos afterwards, but sometimes on a wedding day - we have to go with the flow of the weather.  The rain downpour definitely put a damper on our picked photo locations - but it sure didn't affect the pure love and genuine happiness of this couple!  They were so easy going and with smiles on their faces, we took a trek to get out of the rain and went to work!  Having fun along the way, we definitely captured some awesome moments.  But this was all not long before we got hit with one of the biggest rain storms of the year!  But isn't rain supposed to be good luck on a wedding?  That's what we went with!

The evening was full of great laughs, great food, and great visits (and of course, tons of dancing!)  They had family and friends from all over come enjoy the evening - some of the relatives travelled as far as Europe to come celebrate this beautiful couple.  Dancing til the wee hours in the morning - I think it's fair to say that fun was had by all!

Congratulations once again Natasha & Joe - we have no doubt you have many years of bliss ahead of you!  Enjoy the journey together - it's sure to be a great one.

It was such a pleasure to be able to capture Christina and Randy's special day over the weekend in Killam. The couple said 'I do' in front of friends and family who joined them at their rustic outdoor ceremony on the very land that they farm together. The overcast day was perfect for creating some spectacular shots of the newly wed couple and their bridal party. The setting for photos was a fantastic old barn in the farm yard followed by a walk through a hilly meadow overlooking the farm and finishing up in a golden wheat field.

Guests were treated to a delicious roast beef supper prepared by Food With Flair from Viking, Alberta under the beautifully decorated Killam Community Centre. For their listening pleasure, guests were entertained by the live music of Mojave Iguana, which consisted of two of the three members of Hey Romeo, the Canadian Country Music Association award winning band from Edmonton.

Congratulations Christina and Randy! Thank you for letting us capture your magical day.
