Fall Photos

We have had an amazing fall season for photos so far this year. The warm and rich tones that accompany the fall season are some of our favourite photos of the year. Combine the fall setting with a bunch of lovely families and fall quickly becomes a "can't wait for it to get here" time for photographers. We even had a little bit of snow this year to add another element and as much as snow is tough to want, it helps make some excellent photos.

Here are some of the images we captured with some of the beautiful families we got to photograph so far this fall season.

Tessa & Warren

It was an absolute pleasure to be able to capture Tessa and Warren's big day a couple of weeks ago in a small ceremony held on the homestead that the happy couple will start their lives together on.

As with most small town weddings, it was truly fantastic to see a large number of people from the community in which Tessa and Warren call home join them and their family to celebrate. The meal was prepared locally, and if you have ever been to a small town wedding you know just how good those suppers with locally grown food are.

One of the most amazing things we get to capture as photographers is the first time the groom gets to see the bride. Tessa and Warren had a spectacular first look prior to the ceremony that showcased how deeply in love these two are.

We want to wish Tessa, Warren and their one year old son Brody all of the best in the future and congratulations on your special day! Thank you for letting us capture your love for one another.

This little sweetheart sure brightened my day today!  It was such a treat to be able to photograph her cake smash.  Celebrating milestones are incredibly special - pictures are the best memories to have.  Capturing their little hands, toes, and big beautiful eyes like miss Maya's are what it's all about.  She was the perfect little doll - so curious and intuitive.  Best way to end my week!  Thank you Christina & Maya - was so much fun!  Maya- I hope you have the absolute BEST birthday party celebrating the sweetheart you are! <3

Sweet 'Evie' Girls' 1st Birthday Cake Smash

Sweet 'Evie' Girls' 1st Birthday Cake Smash

Cake Smash's are SO much fun!  Capturing this milestone is one of my favorite shoots to do, I mean, who doesn't like watching a little one get to dig right into a cake?! I love their curiosity - their facial expressions as the session progresses - and most of all - once they discover the sweetness of the cake, the pure messiness that is inevitable!

Meeting Evangeline - 'Evie' - to do just that was a highlight of my week.  Evies' family is originally from Fort McMurray, but are currently relocated due to the wildfire situation.  Thankfully their house is still standing, just waiting for the logistics side of things before they can head back home.  So, it was simply a pleasure to be able to fit this shoot in - something to smile about amongst what I can imagine has been chaos for them.  I am so happy this family still chose to capture this milestone for Evie -- She is just the absolute sweetest little thing with the biggest blue eyes and a cheeky smile.  This was the first time doing a cake smash first thing in the morning - but it worked so well.  Once the cake hit her lips - it was game over!  Between her mouth and her feet - (there must be something about the feeling of icing between her little toes that she loved) - head to toe - she didn't hold back! * gotta love it*   - such a fun and sweet session for a fun and sweet girl!  Happy 1st birthday Evangeline!!!
